InnovMetric Sells the 10,000th License of Its Universal 3D Metrology Software Platform PolyWorks®
InnovMetric Software Inc. proudly announced today that it has sold the 10,000th license of its universal 3D metrology software platform PolyWorks since 1996. This license milestone is marked by a PolyWorks | Inspector Probing™ license sold in September 2012 to an American manufacturer as part of a multiple license deal. The relative contribution of the four PolyWorks packages to these license sales are as follows:
- PolyWorks|Inspector™ (dimensional inspection and analysis): 53%
- PolyWorks|Modeler™ (reverse-engineering): 33%
- PolyWorks|Inspector Probing™ (PolyWorks|Inspector for probing devices): 10%
- PolyWorks|Surveyor™ (surveying and long-range scanning): 4%
"We did not expect to reach the 10,000 license milestone so quickly," said Marc Soucy, President of InnovMetric. "The sharp increase in the sales of PolyWorks | Inspector Probing licenses, which started back in 2010, is the key factor that made this accomplishment possible."
Dr. Hans-Peter Duwe, CEO of Duwe-3D AG and strategic European business partner of InnovMetric adds: "The significant growth in sales of PolyWorks licenses for industrial applications since the end of the last economic recession has also come with a greater demand for related technical services, such as training, consulting, and customization. The flexibility and robustness of PolyWorks make it possible to quickly deploy customized metrology solutions across the manufacturing cycle, at a fraction of the cost of developing customized software."
