InnovMetric Software Releases PolyWorks 9.1
InnovMetric Software is pleased to announce the release of PolyWorks® 9.1. Release 9.1 has been developed in close collaboration with four major automotive companies in Germany, Japan, and the USA, and two major aerospace accounts in North America. The new release offers significant new tools for reverse engineering, virtual assembly, pilot assembly, and first-article inspection applications.
InnovMetric has also worked in close collaboration with hardware manufacturers, to continue the smooth integration of laser scanner, laser tracker, and hard probing capabilities within the PolyWorks interface. With these new functionalities, PolyWorks strengthens its position as the leading solution for seamlessly interacting with all non-contact and contact-based digitizing technologies.
“Our main objective with this release is to further increase our presence in our corporate accounts by expanding the use of PolyWorks within each department,” says Marc Soucy, President of InnovMetric Software. “We are confident that PolyWorks 9.1 will pave the way to exciting new applications”, he continued.
After several months of intense software development, PolyWorks 9.1:
- Continues the significant progress in terms of probing functionality with enhancements such as assisted cross-section and gauge probing, assisted comparison point probing, and robust methods for probing sheet metal features.
- Simultaneously compares multiple instances of a part to a CAD model and analyzes the part forming process.
- Quickly detects colliding parts in a virtual assembly.
- Aligns one or several mobile parts to a rigid body by using flush & gap gauges.
- Offers a re-engineered display and new editing tools for producing dimensional drawings.
